Position Overview

As a CDL Driver - Weekend Shift, you will safely transport passengers along assigned routes while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and safety. You'll operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and company regulations while ensuring passengers arrive at their destinations safely and on time.

This position requires strong driving skills, dependability, and a commitment to delivering a positive passenger experience.

Key Responsibilities of a CDL Driver - Weekend Shift:

Safe Transportation Services

• Operate CDL-required vehicles safely and efficiently
• Transport passengers according to assigned schedules and routes
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Exercise sound judgment in varying traffic and weather conditions
• Maintain a strong focus on passenger and public safety

Passenger Service

• Provide courteous and professional customer service
• Assist passengers as needed during boarding and exiting
• Answer questions regarding routes, schedules, and transportation services
• Create a welcoming and respectful environment for all passengers
• Represent zTrip with professionalism and integrity

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report vehicle concerns, maintenance needs, or safety issues promptly
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and overall presentation
• Ensure all required inspection documentation is completed accurately
• Follow company procedures regarding vehicle safety and maintenance

Operational Excellence

• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members
• Adapt to operational needs while maintaining service standards
• Follow established procedures for incidents, emergencies, and service disruptions
• Support efficient and reliable transportation operations

Safety & Compliance

• Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety requirements
• Maintain required licensing and endorsements
• Complete all required safety training and certifications
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability
• Ensure operational compliance at all times

Qualifications of a CDL Driver - Weekend Shift:

Required

• Valid CDL Class B or higher
• Passenger Endorsement (P) or ability to obtain
• Clean driving record and strong safety history
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
• Excellent reliability and attendance record
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work scheduled weekend shifts consistently

Preferred

• Previous experience operating buses, shuttles, transit vehicles, or passenger transportation vehicles
• Experience in public transportation, charter services, airport transportation, or commercial driving
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and passenger transportation procedures
• Experience providing customer-facing transportation services
